This looks great, is there any place we can demo it?

Hi,

We will be releasing our developers kit in a week or so.  That will have a demo you can run on localhost.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I tried the demo on your site but can't seem to get it to work. When I choose Demo Text/HTML and publish I get:

Server Error 0 Occurred

New Text/HTML isn't supported.

When I choose Demo Blog - digNuke Blog I get:

Server Error 0 Occurred

Please select a category.

Hi,

That's exactly how it's supposed to work!  :)  The different digMeta plugins adapt to the differences in each DNN module it supports.

When using the Text/HTML plugin, digMeta would have no idea where to put a NEW Text/HTML module.  So, you can only edit existing content with the Text/HTML plugin.  This is great for when you or your clients have certain Text/HTML modules that they always modify like many News, Daily Specials, any Text/HTML module they want.

With the DNN Blog plugin, you need to select one, and ONLY one of the categories.  When posting to the  DNN Blog, you are required to a specify blog to post on.

For example, the Ventrian News module allows you to have multple categories, or NO categories, so the digMeta plugin for Ventrian News will accept 0 to many categories.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the reply, I missed the obvious there by not seeing the gategories at the bottom of live writter. Would it be possible to change the error message to something like "You must select a category or location" or something like that?

Also, it seems it is not possible to edit an already published blog entry through Live Writter?

Server Error 0 Occurred

Invalid postid:6

That seems to be a really important feature so people can correct any mistakes.

OK, the categories show up fine when publishing to the blog but I don't see a place where I can specify the text/html module when demo text/html is selected.

Hi,
To edit a Text/HTML module, you need to click "open" in the toolbar. Think of each Text/HTML modlue as if it was an entry in a blog.
Are you able to reproduce the editing error? I was able to load, edit, and publish blog entry id 6 without issue.
Thanks,
Mike
