Hello,

Thanks for this module. It works great.

I have a question about the files that get uploaded to the /portals/0/digmeta folder, pictures for example, when publishing via Live Writer.

I use DigMeta with Ventrian news-articles. When I delete a post, the files that were assoiciated with that post stay on the server in the /portals/0/digmeta folder. This is a waste of disk-space since they're not needed anymore. Is it possible to have these files automatically deleted when deleting a post? If not, is it save to manually remove them from the server?

Also, sometimes I will use the same picture in multiple posts, but Live Writer will upload the picture seperately for every post, so the same file has multiple copies on the server, which is also a wast of disk-space.

Hi Frank,
I believe there is no link between Ventrian and it's image content. Ventrian wouldn't know exactly what image content to delete. The images are just references in the Text/Html. If you delete the article, you can delete appropiate digmeta folder.
Live Writer doesn't have image repository functionality, you can't recall photos in other posts and reference those photos. And when the image content is sent to digMeta, it just sees it as a chuck of image data. It doesn't know that you referenced an image that already exists on your site.
Thanks,
Mike
