Thanks you guys for the update. I am on my way to populating some very old news articles for my company, but I need to date them when they were released.  I went to set the "set publish date" at the bottom of live writer and published the content, it still shows the date of when it was really posted (as in DateTime.Now).

Is it possible to set the date of the article via LiveWriter prior to publishing the blog posting or if you edit a blog post?  It does not seem to work for me, but that would be really handy so I don’t have to go edit the database manually.  Even editing the blog post itself it does not allow you to edit the date. Livewriter would be the best place to do that.

Thanks!

Hi Travis,
You are talking about the Blog module right? I can change it so that it sets the correct date when it's published, however on edit the Blog_UpdateEntry stored procedure doesn't update the date, so I couldn't do it without some extra code. However, you could modify the stored procedure yourself. The date is passed to the Blog_UpdateEntry SP, it's just not used.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Mike.

I tested it, but I now get an error:

Server Error 0 Occurred

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Sorry, I should be more specific,

I start LiveWriter, type in some test text, publish -- no workie.

I adjust the publish date - no worikie. Each time I get that error message returned to me.

I tried to roll back so I dont cause any problems for my business partner, but it wont let me. Let me know when you have a chance to check that out. Thanks!
