I am getting attached error when I try to make a connection from WLW to my site and digMeta

"The Server Commited a Protocol Violation"

Seems like I have run into this before and it was related to a mime type, not sure what to look for in this case though.

Hi,

Is the module you are trying to connect to behind a secure page?  For example if you are connecting to a blog module, WLW can't do DNN authentication, so the blog modules needs to be on a public page.

Thanks,

Mike

It was, but I just made the change and now the page is public.  Does it matter that there are mulitple Blogs?

Also, WLW is not detecting the provider, I am having to manually enter Metaweblog API and the remote posting URL.  I'm not real sure what to put into the posting URL, so I have been using the same URL that digMeta provdes when you setup the connection.

Hi Rob,
I just registered on the site, can you give me admin access to view the digMeta config?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Rob,
I think I found the problem, I think WLW is having problem with your HTTP header. I'll fire you an email.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi,

Just to document the fix if anyone else has this problem, you need to modify your WindowsLivewriter.exe.config so it looks like the following:

Thanks,

Mike
