I am using DNN 4.5.4 and Blog 3.4. When IU try to post to my blog I get the error

 

Server Error 0 Occurred

Please select a category.

 

I do not have any categories in my blog (which from my reading are child blogs).

 

Any suggestions how to address this issue?

Hi Matthew,

Is your main blog listed in the categories in LiveWriter?  You need to select it.  In the next release, I make it default to the main blog if it's the only one.

Yes. But perhaps my problem starts earlier than that. My blog is in a child portal. (http://www.mimh.edu/matthew.hile/Bl...ult.aspx). When I enter the select provider string into live writer I get the error

Invalid Server Response - The response to the blogger.getUsersBlogs method received from the weblog server was invalid:

Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server

You must correct this error before proceeding.

I checked the the file http://www.mimh.edu/DesktopModules/DigMeta.ashx does exist in that location.

Could the child portal arrangement be causing the problem?

Just to update everyone, we got this working. If you use digMeta on a child portal make sure you specify the full child portal url in LiveWriter for your connector url:
www.domain.com/childportal/DesktopModules/DigMeta/meta.ashx

I have the same error - but it is NOT a child site.
Are running DigMeta 1.3.4 and Life Writer 14.0.5025.904

One site is working OK from home, but from this machine I get this strange error. Maybe LIve Writer related problem ?

I looks like you are using the Beta version of Live Writer which isn't supported yet. I will look into this shortly.
