Ok, I have to say that you saved us a bunch of time because we were just about to write this module ourselves.  We talked about this when the Live Writer was in Beta.

So, we were happy to buy this (Jeremiah bought it).

Here are a list of problem we are having:

If you go to "Open" and "select your blog" and get a list of blogs that are available... A blog error message in Live Writer pops up:

Server Error 0 Occurred

Procedure or Function 'Blog_GetEntry' expects parameter '@PortalId', which was not supplied.

Ok.. Thats fine with me.  But it would be nice to get a fully working module just incase I have to go edit something.

Second Issue:

Once you publish your blog, for some reason the link back to your main blog is screwy. It goes to your XML-RPC instead of the blog.  Example:

Click on "Testing DigMeta found on snowcovered" at this link:

http://traviswhidden.com/Blog/tabid...fault.aspx

We are currently using the latest version of the blog module.  DNN is 4.6 (will be 4.8 tonight, but I dont think the DNN version matters).

Anyhow, I am very excited to have this module going.  My business partner has been wanting to use live writer for a long time and I am excited to see this up.  We are running the latest patch 1_0_4 and it did not fix it.  Was I needing to do each patch up to 1.0.4?

DigMeta version: 01.00.03 according to DNN.  We ran the patch 1_0_4, but I guess it did not update the version on DNN.

Any suggestions?  Thanks so much!

Hi Travis,

We are glad you enjoy the module.  We are still working out some of the 1.0 kinks, and I thank everyone for their patience while we iron them out.

The first issue should be resolved with 1.0.4 when we started to support Blog 3.4.0.  Are you still getting the error with the 1.0.4 patch?

I will look into the second issue.

We forgot to up the version in the 1.0.4 install.  I have a 1.0.5 patch ready to fix another problem with the blog plugin, but let me look into your second issue and include that fix into the 1.0.5 patch and put it on snowcovered.  Look for the patch tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks,
Mike

No problem. I know how it goes.  I develop DNN modules and put them on snowcovered also.  I dont expect a 1 hour response like some of my customers do. We all have day jobs ;)

I will let you know if we have any other issues.   Post up when you have the patch ready. (or respond to this because it will ding me via email)

Ok, I think you got the second item fixed... but not the first.

You still cant edit an existing post.

Check this out:

(BTW, I used live writer to put that post in with two images.. damn.. that was WAY smoother then dealing with DNN.)

Yea, I know, I have a build out to a user waiting for validation that it's resolved, but I think he went to bed, which is were I should be! I'll email you a copy.

That 1.0.6 looks like it fixed the issue. Worked like a charm! I appreciate your efforts to get this going! My business partner is freaking out (in a good way) already!

Thanks again!
