Hello,

I've noticed in chrome that my rotating banner vanishes entirely when either you use the slide navigation tools in the flash banner or even if you triggered the DNN drop down menus (which drop over the flash area).

Everything is fine in IE.

Oddly enough the page has a 2nd rotating banner that doesnt exhibit this behavior in Chrome, however if i use the 2nd slide navigation tools, the first banner vanishes.

Any suggestions?

I'm seeing the same issue on my latest site. I've emailed Mike, but seeing that you asked this quesiton 4 days ago with no response, I'm not too hopeful that we'll get an answer any time soon...

Are you using the latest digRotate? I seem to remember this happening in an older version.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Jim,
The problem is your skin is including an older version of swfobject. We use 2.2 which is the latest, the skin is including 1.5 which has this problem. Either try overwriting their swfobject.js with the one in digRotate (however, this might break things in their flash components), or remove it from you skin altogether if you do not plan to use any flash components in your skin.
Thanks,
Mike

Yep. I'm using 4.0.16 (for DNN5) and it appears to the latest version.

Well, I copied the swobject.js from your module install folder on the website and overwrote (what appears to be) their version located in a "js" within their skin install folder on the website. Refreshed the browser(s) and everything is still working as expected in IE, but Chrome still shows the same issue...

Interestingly enough, this skin has a flash banner component for one of the homepage skins that is included. I was using it until I found that if I wanted to use the banner to link to a page, it would only do "_blank" type page loads, resulting is a new browser window opening which wasn't what I needed to just navigate to another page on the site.

And while it was using the older version of the swobject.js it included, their banner element worked just fine with Chrome.

Hi Jim,
I can't duplicate this on dignuke.com or my dev sites. I'm not exactly sure what is causing it just yet. I'll be emailing you a build to test.
Thanks,
Mike
