 Hi,

Is there any way to get the dashboard module to display articles between two count figures ie article numbers 5-10 only?

Thank you,

Roger

Hi,
Currently no. You can do it by dates. i.e. show articles between 5 and 10 days old, but not by numbers. Can I ask the reason?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I've a site using Ventrian News articles to implement this feature at the mo and was considering switching to DigArticle if it could do this.

The setup I'm using at the moment is 4 NewsArticles Latest modules each with a different template to display articles within certain count ranges.

So going down the page the newest article gets a big headline, into and pic ... the next three articles get a smaller headline pic and intro .. the next six only a headline and intro and the next ten only show as headline.

The count system was the only way I could find to consistently move the articles down the page form module to module as a new article was put on. Could this be done another way with DigArticle?

Cheers,

Roger

I'll add this in a release next week. I'll make tags
[ispos:2] - is at position 2
[ispos:2:5] is position 2,3,4 or 5
So your template would look something like:

[ispos:1]
first article
[/ispos:1]
[ispos:2:4]
second, third, fourth article
[/ispos:2:4]
[ispos:5:7]
fifth, sixth and seventh article
[/ispos:5:7]

Thanks,
Mike

I need something similar to this as well.  I'm still using DNN article even though I purchased your module over a year ago, to date have not used it as I did not consider it ready.

Your module appears have matured and I beleive I am ready to see what it can do.

The only feature currently lacking for me is to be able to produce a list of articles and switch from one template to a second template after the first 'X' number of articles in the list have been displayed.

I need to be able perform this feature based upon the count of the last article posted, not the date range as I cannot guarantee how frequently users will post content.
