In the Dazzle Image Settings decription area, the FCK editor looks like I have control over font styling, but when I view the actual description, there is no formatting other than paragraph breaks.

Could something be wrong with my installation? I did have the demo version installed. I tried to unistall it before installing the full version and got the message "uninstalled with errors."

Any advice?

Hi,
The Flash HTML is not 100% like regular html.
See here:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0...00920.html

This is the CS3 docs, but it should be similar.

If you want the flash 8 docs, you can download them here:

http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/8/

Thanks,
Mike

I'm having a terrible time getting anything styled in the Dazzle Pop-up.  I upgraded to DNN 5.4.2 and swithced to the  Telerik Editor and it won't let me add font tags.  I guess becuse they're depricated it reformats them to span tags using inline styles.  This doesn't work at all.  The same for trying to get change the size of an image.

If I try to use the Lightbox, The popup width and hieght settings don't seem to make any difference and the width is too narrow for what I'm trying to achieve.

This is a cool module, but I can't get it to display the content in a way that looks good.

When will the new version be released?  Will it offer any more flexibility in formatting the Pop-ups?

After a week, no response.

I notice on the adobe site that there's a way to attach a stylesheet.  Would that help?  How can I do it?

Formatting images and text is a REAL PROBLEM with this module.  Especially with the Telerik Editor.

Any help would greatly be apprecialted.

I wish I had a better solution for both of us. What I have come to accept is that formatting text and images are very limited. As the developer responded, Flash HTML works a little differently — which seems to mean, very basic. Instead of using FCK or Telerik tools, I have to switch to Basic Text Box and put in basic HTML code. E.g.,

[p]Lorem ipsum[/p]

(note, I use squate brackets "[" instead of angle brackets ">" so the code shows you what I mean)

CSS doesn't apply to it at all. It's very limiting. I think this could be a great module if CSS could be used or even the standard text editor.

I'm no Flash expert, so maybe I'm missing a vital piece. This has just been my experience though. Please post back if you discover an improved solution. Thanks

Ken

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the reply.  One thing I noticed looking through the specified Adobe Docs was that there is a way to attach a CSS Stylesheet to a Flash Object.  If we could somehow do that we could use Span Tags with classes.  Maybe even apply them to Paragrpah Tags.

When I was working on it, I didn't have the time to invest researching attaching CSS to Flash but I would like to get it figured out. I'll make a point to post here if I make progress.
